First Light Alpenglow – Eastern Sierra

The big photographic draw in the Lone Pine area is to catch the first few moments of sunlight on the snow covered peaks of the Sierras. I have learned that the moment is fleeting as the light will quickly become too harsh reflecting off the snow. This image was captured using the Chamonix F2 4 x 5 with a 6 x 17 roll back, 75mm lens Velvia 50 film.
