Moon Over Whitney – Eastern Sierra

After making the image, ‘In Moonlight’, and getting an alpenglow shot with a similar composition, I watched as the moon slipped lower till it became apparent it was going to set right over Mt Whitney. I switched to a long lensed felt thrilled to witness this scene. It was quite a morning in an amazing place!
