SW Colorado Photography – Tsé Bit’ a’í – Rock with Wings

Tsé Bit’ a’í – Rock with Wings. Not really SW Colorado as Shiprock is in New Mexico but here it shall reside until I take more photographs of my old home state.

The Navajo people named this prominent feature seen from miles around rising out of the high desert of New Mexico. I have seen photograhs from the air that clearly reveal the wings, the ridges that geacefully span miles away from the rock on both sides. There is a very ancient feeling standing in the shadow of shiprock.
