Texture – Eastern Sierra

I spotted this area on a previous day and committed to returning so I could see what the late afternoon light would do to the beautiful foliage. After exploring a few different compositions, I chose the 23mm lens on the GFX and composed the scene in a pano. Patience is important to have when doing landscape photography. The clouds had obscured the sun’s light and only peaked through right before it dipped below the Sierras illuminating the wispy reeds, the cottonwood and the many textures beyond.
