Zion invites a different perspective, a different eye with expectations dropped. There are a few grand landscape views for sure, that are photographed to excess, and there are quiet small areas available for exploration that offer scenes full of chaos and clutter but within the clutter there is exquisite simple beauty illuminated with soft reflected light. These jewels are everywhere and can become yours when the transition of perspective takes place. There is also the Narrows, a canyon only accessed by hiking up the river. The canyon walls tower over you while your senses are bathed in the flow of the Virgin River and reflected light glowing on ancient canyon walls. It is a place to visit. I had the most enjoyment being contrary to the crowds and seeking the unlabeled, the hidden.
